Vorsteiner 2018 News

Vorsteiner had a fantastic run last year, which was good news for us too. More and more of their wheels and carbon aerodynamic parts are coming through our shop and rightfully so. Luckily they aren't sitting still and much more is coming for this year, so therefore it seemed like a good idea to give you the Vorsteiner 2018 News.

Vorsteiner Flow Forged wheels

The Flow Forged wheel range of Vorsteiner consist of a variety of high quality wheels for a wide selection of applications. Contrary to many forged wheels, these wheels are not made to order but available in certain fitments and colors. This allows them to produce stock ahead of orders and keep the pricing as low as possible. In 2017 they introduced 3 new designs, bringing the total to 8 wheels to choose from in this line. The V-FF 107 has grown exceptionally populair and will without a doubt be still in high demand this year. This year though, another two all new wheel designs have been added to the Vorsteiner Flow Forged range.

The Vorsteiner V-FF 109 adds an elegant thin 10-spoke wheel design to choose from. The spokes are designed to run all the way from the outerlip to the center of the wheels, which gives the illusion of them having a larger diameter. The spokes are also cut in a specific way, this not only adds beautiful detail to the wheels but also helps in reducing their weight even more without sacrificing rigidty. For now these wheels are focussed on 22" SUV applications, but knowing Vorsteiner more applications will probably become available later this year.

The second new design is the Vorsteiner V-FF 110. This brings a second double 5-spoke wheel to the line up, the design has straighter spokes with struts between them that allows for a lower weight without decreasing structural integrity. While not much is known yet about available fitments, we do know that this and the before mentioned V-FF 109 come with a new standard finish called Zara Grey. This is not all though! While we aren't allowed to show it yet, we know a beautiful V-FF 111 is coming soon too so keep an eye out for that.

Another new Flow Forged wheel comes in the form of the first of a new sub line. The Venom Rex wheels will cater the, especially in the US, massively populair truck market. At the moment just available for the 2010+ Ford 150 and Raptor, the Venom Rex 601's are one of the lightest 20" flow forged truck wheels on the market right now while bringing the signature Vorsteiner design cues. We've added some more photos below to give a proper idea of what these wheels look like on these cars, but we'd like to add that we've already seen a preview of a second Venom Rex wheel design so more is to come.

Vorsteiner Sport Forged wheels

For a long time Vorsteiner offered the choice between two distinct wheel lines. The Flow Forged, as described above, offers an entry level wheel made in select fitments for a variety of car models. Their Nero Forged wheels consist of 10 wheel designs that are made to order, for any application in any color. These forged wheels are the top of the line when it comes to strength and weight reduction but this obviously comes at a price. This year there's a new choice though with the Vorsteiner Sport Forged wheels, with the first design in this line being available now.

Vorsteiner 2018 News

The Vorsteiner Sport Forged V-FS 001 is engineered with strenght and weight in mind. These fully forged wheels feature a beautiful design and come with reinforcements that add rigidity to points that receive the most stress, while coming in at price level only slightly above their Flow Formed wheels. This makes these wheels some of the most affordable forged wheels on the market right now. The number of applications and available finishes is rapidly growing, with a lot of them already added to our webshop, so this might become the latest success number from the Vorsteiner stables. The photos below will give you some insight in what these wheels could do for your car.

Vorsteiner Competition Series wheels

A second new wheel series has been quitely introduced aswell. The Vorsteiner Competition Series wheels brings two designs so far, catered to a specific range of cars. These wheels are fully forged and a designed with the utmost care to performance and strength.

Vorsteiner 2018 News

The Vorsteiner VCS 001 is a classical, motorsport inspired, split-7 spoke wheel design. This forged monoblock wheel is specifically designed for the Porsche 991 GT3 RS, while being lighter than the factory wheels. It's currently only available in centerlock application but other bolt patterns will be introduced soon too hopefully.

Vorsteiner 2018 News

The second wheel in this new line is the Vorsteiner VCS 002 seen here. This wheel features a new split 5-spoke design with advanced face pocketing, allowing for lightweight yet strong construction. It's a modern on the classic 5-split design known from motorsports, staying well in line with the Competition Series philosophy of motorsport inspired high end forged wheels. The VCS 002 can be made in 19, 20 & 21" with a bolt pattern tailored to your vehicle, including centerlock applications.

Carbon Aerodynamic parts

Vorsteiner has made a big name for themselves over the recent years in the aftermarket wheel market, but they're still best known for their impressive carbon fiber parts. Last year this skill was further proved by launching a sister company, Guntherwerks. Guntherwerks entered the market of coachbuilding with their 400R, a custom build wide body 993 with carbon fiber body panels. The first prototype was tested by several big names of automotive journalism, who were very impressed, and the 25 production slots for the 400R are all filled already. For Vorsteiner there's a lof of new parts coming too this year, so let's get to what we know so far.

Vorsteiner 2018 News

First up is the carbon fiber aero package that's in development for the Ferrari 488 GTB. With the more hardcore version of the 488, probably called the 488 Sport Special, coming up, some new possibilities to spice up the 488 GTB are always welcome. In the renders shown above we see that Vorsteiner focusses on a subtle front splitter that covers up the lower part of the stock front bumper. On the sides we see a set of side skirts with air guiding fins on either side. The lower rear will be equipped with a new and slightly more aggressive diffuser. Where several companies already offer a raised wing for the 488, Vorsteiner opted to go for a spoiler that lays flush to the decklid of the car. All in all this kit already looks very good in these renders and we can't wait what the final products will look like.

Vorsteiner 2018 News

Vorsteiner has started working on their aero package for the Lamborghini Huracan LP640-4 Performante too. They obviously choose to not interfer with the ALA, Lamborghini's active aerodymanics system, parts while still adding some subtle touches that will surely stand out. These early renders show a lower front spoiler which attaches to the bumper below the ALA intakes, making the front look a bit more aggresive while adding downforce generating surface. On the rear they replaced the stock diffuser with their own version. It comes with bigger and more fins and looks quite good already. It's not quite clear yet if and how much they'll add to the lower sides of the Performante, it looks like we see some protruding skirts but this might just be the 3D model they use for the design. Time will tell us exactly how this package will look and what it will contain.

Vorsteiner 2018 News

We might have hinted at it before on our social media channels, but Vorsteiner fans owning a BMW F85 X5M will finally get some carbon options too this year. The new X5M is even more popular than the car it replaced so it's no wonder they decided to come up with some stunning carbon fiber parts for this car. As we can see in these renders, their program will contain a beautifully sculpted front spoiler and potent rear diffuser. Both of these parts will obviously fit the BMW F86 X6M too, for those who are starting to get worried. We also spot a new hood although we doubt this will make it till the production fase. The roof spoiler will have a bigger chance to go in production and will ofcourse only fit the X5M. We hope these parts will be available soon as they look very promising.

Vorsteiner 2018 News

The last program currently in development that we can show you at this time is the carbon fiber aerodynamics package for the Porsche 991.2 Carrera. With the new 911 coming soon, many owners of the 991 generation might want to modify their car a bit for this new season. Some Vorsteiner carbon is a great way to do it. Their current 991 program is still very popular and we have no doubt there are 991.2 owners out there that were waiting for parts to become available for their car too. In these renders we see a subtle front spoiler lip, much like the one for the pre facelift 991. On the rear we see a beautifully sculpted ducktail like decklid spoiler that seems to flow right out of the taillights. The diffuser will be available in two version to cater both the cars with and without the Porsche Sports Exhaust.

So this pretty much sums up all the interesting news we can expect from Vorsteiner this year. There's clealy more to come though, we are expecting a F90 M5 program too for instance but even if we you knew more about it, we couldn't tell you. What we do know though is that we will keep you updated on all news as it comes out, here and on our social media channels. Please feel free to contact us if you're interested in any of the mentioned products or if you have any other questions for us. Our experienced team will gladly answer them all and help you where needed with selecting the perfect parts for your car. We hope to see you soon in our webshop, showroom or workshop.
